Crystal and Tomas chose such a beautiful location for their wedding celebration. Although the couple grew up in Arizona, they spent some time living in Jacksonville. That is what led them to choose this beautiful location in Fort George Island National Park. I had never been to this area of Jacksonville Beach, with it’s marshes, inland waterways and pristine shoreline, it has so much to offer. The Ribault Club is located deep in the park, and is a historic house. It is a top notch wedding venue, with ample room to serve the needs of the entire day and able to host a large wedding party.

I was so excited to be able to fly my drone and get some stunning aerial shots of the landscape and the venue. It was a bit hit-and-miss, as there was a tropical storm moving through the area on the day of the wedding! My little Mavic Air did quite well fighting the winds, which is great because those shots do add a little bit of Wow factor to the films. The storm almost caused the ceremony to be moved inside, but with a bit of luck, the weather cleared and we were able to have the ceremony under the big oak tree as planned. Yay!! We were also blessed to be able to get some stunning bride and groom photo session footage at sunset. And we were able to party all night outside under the tent and it was SO MUCH FUN!!!

All in all, this wedding had so much to offer to create these films. The family and friends all were looking so fantastic, and exhibiting so much love and happiness to be a part of Crystal and Tomas’ big day. All of the children in attendance, who are so loved by the bride and groom, added such a spark of joy and innocence. The details, which the couple spent so much time planning and creating, were perfect. Add this all in with the natural beauty of the venue and its surroundings - and WOW!! I am so honored to be the one they selected to document their special day. I hope you enjoy the films!

ENGAGEMENT LOVE STORY

In 2020, I experimented with a new wedding celebration film form, the Engagement / Love Story. I actually had a give-away so that I could experiment with this form. This also to opportunity to get more experience directing couples during the romantics section of a photo shoot.

This is Torrie and Chase's Engagement Love Story. They were engaged on March 29, 2019, and like a lot of people, have had to adjust their wedding plans due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The opted for a small wedding at Bowditch Point Park on Fort Myers Beach. That is where we filmed this Engagement Film. Talk about cinematic! I flew a little drone too, which added some cools shots. We actually covered a lot of ground - as we also did an interview segment - where Torie and Chase were able to tell their love story. They were very cute and genuine - so in love.

WEDDING LOVE NOTE

The locations were so beautiful for this wedding celebration - so cinematic. St. Ann’s Catholic Church in West Palm Beach had wonderful light, and the pagontry was epic. The reception was in a location called the Hippie House. The building, grounds, table settings, cocktail ambience, dance vibe with the DJ Lexy, and a Cuban trio band that I recently saw perform at a popular music spot on Calle Ocho! WOW!!

This is from pre-pandemic times, but I realized for some reason I wasn’t featuring it in my Highlight Films section. So, I am breaking it out now. This film has so much heart. As much as I am about the visuals (and I am all about the visuals), there is nothing that replaces the power of the spoken word. This film has such heartfelt feeling and love in the spoken word. Of course, having a happy and stylish couple and family and friends, celebrating their marriage in a boutique Miami Beach hotel with classic styling and charm, and the visuals ain’t too shabby either!

WEDDING DRONE / AERIAL FOOTAGE

This is one is just pure Drone Eye Candy! It is somewhat out of the vault, as it was shot a while ago. I think it shows - when you have the venue - sometimes the only option to truly do it justice is with aerial shots.
